The Italian tribute band Easy Cure play Zagreb's Bugaloo club on 6 November, marking fifty years since The Cure was founded. It is their first appearance in Zagreb, and the night starts at 20:00.

The Cure are a British band whose sound became shorthand for an entire genre: you cannot explain goth rock or the alternative scene of the eighties without them. Fifty years since founding is a number most bands never reach, and fewer still reach it with a recognisable identity rather than a nostalgia tour.

Easy Cure are a long-running Italian tribute outfit. What separates a good tribute band from a bad one is not note-for-note accuracy but whether they catch the tone, and The Cure have a particular blend of melancholy and melodic openness that is far easier to miss than to hit.
