Aries

Aries will today be the last to find out something everyone around them has known for two days. They will not be angry that it was kept from them, but that they did not notice it themselves. By the afternoon they will start doing the same thing - keeping one thing from somebody who would want to know it.

Taurus

Taurus will today cook for more people than are coming. They will know the number in advance, and know it while measuring too. The surplus left in the pot on a Friday night is not a miscalculation for them but the only way they know how to say they are glad people came.

Gemini

Gemini will today be in company where the talk turns to something they know better than anyone at the table, and they will stay quiet to the end. Not out of modesty. Somewhere around the third sentence they will judge that the story is going well without the accuracy, and they will let it run. The evening will be more entertaining for everyone, themselves included.

Cancer

Cancer will today be somewhere nobody knows them - a waiting room, a train, someone else's neighbourhood - and it will feel good. Nobody's mood to read, nobody's tone to measure. An hour and a half without the work they do constantly, for free, and without anyone asking.

Leo

Leo will today do something good in front of people who will not register that it was good. To them it will seem normal. They will leave with a feeling that something did not finish properly, and that feeling will last until evening - which is the only part of the whole thing that was really for them.

Virgo

Virgo will today set off without a plan. It will start to feel uncomfortable around eleven, when the day has not a single point to hold on to. By two in the afternoon they will invent an obligation that did not exist in the morning, just to have something to rest from.

Libra

Libra will today say "no" straight away, without those three seconds in which they usually line up the consequences. It will come out easier than expected. It will keep turning over in their head for the rest of the day precisely because it came out that easily.

Scorpio

Scorpio will today hear somebody defending them to others, not knowing they are standing in the next room. They will not go in. They will not mention it to that person later either, which with them is not pride but a way of letting the thing stay as it happened.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius will today realise halfway that they set off in the wrong direction, and carry on anyway. They will arrive somewhere they had not planned, forty minutes later. The difference between lost and on your way is only whether somebody is waiting for you.

Capricorn

Capricorn will today be asked how much they earn and will answer exactly, without rounding up or down according to who is asking. The other person will change the subject within ten seconds. The figure they carried as a private matter turns out to have interested nobody as much as it interested them.

Aquarius

Aquarius will today finish something they started long ago. Not the bigger thing - the smaller one, the one that has sat unfinished so long it has stopped looking like an obligation. It will take twenty minutes and be the cleanest part of the Friday.

Pisces

Pisces will today be asked what they want and will say what they want. No "whatever suits you", no reading the room first. They will get exactly that, it will feel slightly less wonderful than they imagined, and that is the price you pay every time you stop imagining a thing and take it.
