Aries will read the instructions to the end, Gemini will cancel three forgotten subscriptions

Aries

Today Aries will finally assemble the shelf that has been sitting in its box since summer - and will read the instructions first. All of them, from the first page to the last, drawings included. The screws will be lined up by size on the rug. The shelf will stand straight on the first try, and not a single "spare" screw will be left in the box.

Taurus

Today Taurus will turn up to the Sunday football game in the school yard that friends have been inviting them to for two years. After twenty minutes they'll be out of breath and will volunteer to go in goal. They'll save two shots and let the third through their legs. Over beers afterwards, they'll only talk about the two saves.

Gemini

Today Gemini will go through the card statement and find three subscriptions they had no idea they were still paying for - a workout app, a movie platform and something with a name they can't place. They'll cancel all three in ten minutes. From next month there'll be money for one more lunch.

Cancer

Today Cancer won't wait for the poll in the class group chat, where thirty people have spent three months failing to agree on a date. They'll simply write: "Saturday, eight o'clock, at Petso's. Whoever can make it, makes it." Twelve will show up. Twelve more than any poll has ever managed.

Leo

Tonight Leo will go to a friend's first gig in a small bar, in front of an audience of fifteen. They'll sit in the back row, won't film anything and won't post anything. They'll clap loudest after every song, even the one where the friend forgets the lyrics.

Virgo

Today Virgo should leave the dishes in the sink until tomorrow. The world won't stop. They'll check, just in case.

Libra

Today Libra will take a walk through the neighbourhood where they grew up and haven't set foot in for years. The bakery on the corner will still be there, just with a new sign. The baker will recognise them first and hand over a croissant "like the old days" - without charging for it.

Scorpio

Today Scorpio will hand the car keys to their younger brother, who passed his driving test last week. There will be no lecture about speed. They'll sit on the balcony pretending to read until the car is back in the parking lot - in one piece, and with a full tank.

Sagittarius

Today Sagittarius will postpone the trip up Vodno they've been planning all week, to help a friend move - fourth floor, a building with no lift and a wardrobe that refuses to fit through the door. By evening the wardrobe will be through. The pizza on the floor of the empty flat will beat any view from Vodno.

Capricorn

Today Capricorn will buy a good winter coat at full price, because the old one is on its eighth winter. They won't justify the price to anyone - not even to themselves. Walking out of the shop, they'll stand tall, as if they'd grown five centimetres.

Aquarius

Today Aquarius will switch off the satnav and head into the centre along streets they don't know. They'll get lost twice. The second time they'll come out onto a little lane with grapevines over the gates, which has been five hundred metres from their flat for years. How many places like that do we walk past every day, eyes glued to a screen?

Pisces

Today Pisces won't take the bike in for a puncture. They'll watch a five-minute video, pull out the inner tube and find the hole in a basin of water. The patch will hold. The repairman they always go to will lose a customer for the small jobs.
