A voice that has performed from Tokyo to New York closes out the year in Belgrade with a New Year's gala concert. Soprano Tamara Rađenović takes the stage on December 28 in the Blue Hall of Sava Centar with the program From Opera to Hollywood - an evening where opera arias and legendary film music meet on the same stage.
Rađenović was born in 1995 in Belgrade, and today she is a British-Montenegrin soprano based in the United Kingdom. She studied in Montenegro, Slovenia and Britain, and earned her degree in solo singing at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London. She is one of the last students of the celebrated Montserrat Caballé, and in 2023 she made the Forbes Europe 30 Under 30 list in the arts and culture category.
The concert is part of an international tour passing through some of the most prestigious halls in the world - the Vienna Konzerthaus, the NDK in Sofia, the Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul. The audience will hear arias by Verdi, Puccini and Bizet, but also film music by Nino Rota, Ennio Morricone and Hans Zimmer, all of it with a symphony orchestra and special guests.
The concert at Sava Centar starts at 8 PM, and tickets are available through tickets.rs. For a year's end where operatic shine meets cinematic nostalgia, this is one of the more spectacular evenings in Belgrade's holiday offering.
