Tool is an American band formed in Los Angeles in 1990 and one of the hardest names to perform live. Their songs are long, rarely stick to a standard structure and are full of odd rhythmic sections, which means any group playing them has to know the original work down to the detail. That is why there are considerably fewer Tool tribute bands than ones playing easier repertoire.
