Petrol broke the 100 mark, and diesel is protected for exactly fourteen days

From midnight, "Eurosuper BS-95" costs 100.50 denars per litre, while diesel dropped to 99. At the same pump, a diesel driver now pays less than a petrol driver, and that gap was not made by the world market but by a temporary VAT cut from 18 to 10 percent. Mickoski is counting savings of over 250,000 euros a day. But the reduced rate runs from 15 to 28 September - fourteen days, written into the decision itself. The same decision pushed extra light heating oil up to 109.50 denars, and mazut to 48.243 denars per kilo. Diesel is politically protected. Heating is not, and autumn arrives in a few weeks.

A nurse with ten years in the system still had to pull strings

The electoral code is stuck, and the proof there'll be no election is intuition

Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi is convinced there will be no early elections, and asked what he bases that certainty on, he answered that he relies on political intuition. Intuition is a legitimate thing for a man with a long career behind him. It is not a fact, not an agreement, and not a vote in parliament. The code is the only unfulfilled reform obligation, the working group exists, and Gashi himself admits it is stuck, with no decision even on when it will convene. The hauliers backed down for a promise, not a signature
