Aries

Aries will be caught today in a lie about something entirely small - how long they waited, how much they paid, whether they were there. Nobody will correct them out loud. They will notice it in a glance and spend the rest of the Sunday afternoon looking for a way to put it back on the table, which will not work once.

Taurus

Taurus will be asked today for help with something physical - furniture, a load, a lift - and will go immediately, without asking how long it will take. They will come back tired and content. It is the only kind of favour where they know in advance exactly what they gave and what it is worth, and so the only one that never weighs on them.

Gemini

Gemini will start a conversation today with a stranger in a queue or on public transport, and keep it going for ten minutes. They will learn three things they need for nothing. They will recount them in the evening as if they had happened to them, and that will not be a lie - with them the distance between heard and lived has been narrow since birth.

Cancer

Cancer will eat dinner alone today and will not put anything on in the background. No phone beside the plate, no series they have already watched five times. The first ten minutes will feel uncomfortable, and then something will settle in them that has not settled for weeks.

Leo

Leo will be recognised on the street today by someone whose name they cannot remember. They will carry it off with a smile, ask after the family in general terms, get out clean. Three steps later the name will come to them and it will sting more than it was reasonable for it to sting.

Virgo

Virgo will buy flowers today. Not for anyone, not for an occasion, not instead of something else that should have been bought. They will put them on the table and look at them several times during the day with a mild suspicion of themselves, as if checking whether this is allowed.

Libra

Libra will be alone in the flat all day today and will not find it hard. No plan for who to call, no sense that the Monday is being wasted. Towards evening they will realise they did not once wonder what somebody would think about how they spent the day, and they will remember that for longer than the day itself.

Scorpio

Scorpio will laugh at their own expense today in front of people who have only known them a short while. Sincerely, not as a tactic to close the subject. Someone at the table will lose part of their guardedness towards them in that moment, and it is an exchange Scorpio would not have made deliberately.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius will postpone today a trip somewhere they genuinely want to go. There is no good reason - there is time, there is money, there is someone to leave a key with. By evening they will have invented the reason and believed it, and by Wednesday they will be firmly convinced it was for the best.

Capricorn

Capricorn will say thank you out loud today for something small and specific. A coffee, a lift, one thing repaired. It will come out awkwardly, the other person will not know in advance how to take it, and it will still be the best-spent minute of the Monday.

Aquarius

Aquarius will lose interest today in something they have given three weeks to. Not from tiredness and not because it was not working. They will set it aside without explaining it to anyone, and feel a guilt that lasts until Wednesday, which is a long time for work nobody but them ever looked at.

Pisces

Pisces will say "no" today to the first request, without wrapping it in three sentences about how uncomfortable they feel. On the other side it will be perfectly fine. What will keep them awake until two in the morning is not the refusal, but how easily it passed.
