Paris Saint-Germain already has an attack that gives opponents nightmares, but in Paris they clearly don't know the word "enough." According to French media, the champions' main summer target is Michael Olise - Bayern's winger who this season demolished every projection made about him.
Sporting director Luis Campos has already amassed an arsenal: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Désiré Doué, Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembélé, with young Ibrahim Mbaye waiting in line too. But Dembélé now plays as a false nine, while Barcola and Mbaye might leave in search of minutes - and that's exactly why PSG is heading back to the market.
Olise's numbers explain why. This season - 22 goals and 31 assists in 57 matches. Since moving from England to Germany, his game has jumped to a completely different level: a total of 42 goals and 54 assists in 104 appearances for the German champions. For an attacking midfielder, those are numbers you don't ignore.
The problem for Paris is called Bayern. Real Madrid has already shown interest and got a short, clear answer - the player isn't for sale. José Mourinho reportedly went in person to watch him in the German cup final against Stuttgart, but the Bavarian club didn't blink.
And when Bayern decides to keep someone, it does so tooth and nail. It looked like Alphonso Davies was set for Real Madrid - he ended up with a new contract in Munich. The same happened with Dayot Upamecano. With Uli Hoeness at the helm, Bayern is never afraid to take negotiations into the open.
PSG has heavy artillery and powers of persuasion few possess, but prying a 24-year-old out of Munich will be a whole different fight. The smarter move might be to look for reinforcement elsewhere - except that right now few play at Olise's level. And that's exactly the problem facing anyone who has the money but lacks a player of this caliber.
