Blush is the cheapest cosmetic product that can change your face, and the one most often applied in the wrong place. Not because of the colour - because of the position.

The entire logic is geometric: blush visually changes the proportions of the face depending on where it is placed. Same shade, same brush, two centimetres of difference - and you get either a lifted or a dropped expression. That is why the advice „put a little on the apples of your cheeks” works for exactly one face shape, while everyone else applies it out of habit.

Round face

Blush goes on the outer, upper part of the cheekbone and blends outwards, towards the temples. The aim is a vertical line - to create the impression of length and a slight lift. Circular application in the middle of the face achieves exactly the opposite.

Long face

Here the logic flips. The colour is distributed horizontally, across the cheekbone, so the face gains width. Go upwards towards the temples and the face looks even longer.

Square face

Applied to the high part of the cheekbones, with circular motions when blending. This softens the angles of the jaw while still keeping the definition. Here the structure is not hidden, it is rounded.

Heart-shaped face

Slightly below the cheekbones, blending towards the temples. The task is balance - to even out a wider forehead against a narrower chin. This is the only face shape where applying below the bone is correct rather than a mistake.

Diamond face

The upper part of the cheekbone, blending upwards towards the temples. The structure here is already pronounced, so the goal is to emphasise it, not to correct it.

What the industry does not advertise with any enthusiasm is that this product does more for the freshness of a face than half a shelf of serums. Because blush does not fix skin - it moves light. And light is the only thing in make-up that works instantly and for free.
