An international conference titled "Skopje - European Capital of Culture 2028: Shaping Skopje's Future" was held at the Aleksandar Palace hotel. Around the table sat Mayor Orce Gjorgievski, European partners, universities and experts.
The "European Capital of Culture" title is a massive opportunity - cities like Maribor, Rijeka and Novi Sad used it to transform their infrastructure and international visibility. The question is whether Skopje will do the same or remain stuck at the level of conferences and announcements.
