According to the report filed with police, it all started with threats over the phone. A former employee threatened the 36-year-old owner of the Skopje business where she used to work, then came to the premises, forced the front door and poured flammable liquid inside.
The Interior Ministry said that on 26 October at around 8 a.m. officers from the Violent Crime Unit of the Skopje police department questioned the woman, A.V. from Skopje. The case, they say, is being investigated and documented, and appropriate charges will follow.
The reason for the conflict has not been disclosed, nor whether anyone was hurt or there was further damage. What remains are the facts in the report: a threat, a broken door and flammable liquid poured inside someone else's premises. One lighter away from far worse news.
The procedure is ongoing. It remains to be seen whether it ends with a charge for threats alone or for something much more serious - because flammable liquid poured inside a business is not an emotional outburst, it's a step someone took deliberately.
