Hungarian supermodel Barbara Palvin and American actor Dylan Sprouse are expecting their first child. The news was confirmed in Cannes, at the film festival, with a dress that left little room for guessing.
On the steps of the Hotel Martinez, in a sky-blue elegant gown with a square neckline and a feather finish, Palvin appeared with a visible bump. In the photos she looks calm, with that specific smile across her face that many mothers-to-be recognise instantly. Next to her - Sprouse in a classic black evening suit, no less put together.
Their story is eight years old. The Hungarian former Victoria's Secret Angel and the American-Italian actor met at a party in 2017. Sprouse sent her a message on Instagram, Palvin did not reply for a long time, and then she flew to China to visit him. The calculation for that day was "an interesting day." In 2018 the relationship became public. In 2023 they got engaged and married in Hungary the same year.
Now, two years later, a new chapter opens. The price of one non-aggressive announcement at Cannes - a pregnancy the world sees without a previously arranged Vogue sitting, without a long Instagram caption, without a branded ad. Just one dress, one gesture with a hand on the belly, and one reality that asks for no additional words.
For women who grew up on Palvin's images from fashion shows and stills from the pencil-thin red carpet - this is the first detail that is not for the shop window. For the first time, with her, you can talk about something that is not a red carpet. The metrics, the markets, the beauty industry - all that stays for tomorrow. This time, just one small "yes."
