Eight People Fight with Objects in a Yard in Banica, Four End Up Seriously Injured

On the evening of the 11 October public holiday, at 10:30 p.m., a fight broke out in the yard of a house in the village of Banica near Strumica that left four people seriously injured. Eight people took part, all from the village, split into two groups.

On one side were R.M. and K.M.; on the other, P.S., M.S., T.S. and three people with the initials S.S. According to the Strumica police department, they didn't fight with their fists alone - they used various objects and inflicted injuries to each other's heads and bodies. The injured were taken to the Medical Centre in Strumica, where R.M., K.M., T.S. and M.S. were found to have serious bodily injuries.

Police found and seized the objects they had used to hit each other. The public prosecutor has been informed, and measures are being taken to fully clear up the case. The reason for the clash has not yet been made public.

Fellow villagers, in a yard, with objects the police later had to confiscate. Whatever was behind it, someone decided the dispute would be settled with blows to the head. Now the prosecutor's office will settle it instead.
