The Macedonian chemistry team returned from the 60th International Mendeleev Olympiad in Moscow with two bronze medals. Daniel Hristov from Štip and the young Teona - who became the first girl to win a medal for Macedonia at this competition.

Students from dozens of countries participated in the olympiad, and Macedonia showed it can compete at the highest level - at least in chemistry.

While politicians debate passports and caretaker governments, children bring home medals. The question is: will anyone provide them with labs and mentorship when they return - or will they just get congratulations on social media?
