Aries

Aries will set out for something at nine in the morning and by eleven will be in a third place, none of which were in the plan. None of it will annoy them. A Monday that starts without a list copes faster than a Monday clinging to a list written on Sunday night.

Taurus

Taurus will pay a bill they had long been setting aside and will feel a relief out of all proportion to the sum. Eight hundred denars, carried around for three months. What you postpone you carry every day, and you pay for only once.

Gemini

Gemini will find themselves in the middle of a subject they know well and will choose not to step in. They will hear others turning it the wrong way and will leave it there. Around noon it will occur to them that the silence was more comfortable than expected.

Cancer

Cancer will decide something big while drinking their coffee, in under a minute, and will stick with it for the rest of the day. No consultations, no asking around. Decisions that take three days and decisions that take one minute are often the same decision - the only difference is how much you tortured yourself getting there.

Leo

Leo will finish something without anyone knowing they were working on it. No message, no mention at the table in the evening. It will feel different than they imagined.

Virgo

Virgo will notice somebody else's mistake and decide it is not their job to fix it. It will take about twenty minutes to let it go. A Monday has enough of its own to carry without hauling somebody else's proofreading through it.

Libra

Libra will choose immediately today - between two things, no circling, no asking for a second opinion. The choice will not be obviously better than the other one. What they gain is not the more correct option but an afternoon unburdened by it.

Scorpio

Scorpio will be in a conversation where somebody openly admits they were wrong, and will not use it in a single sentence. They will move past it as if it had not happened. For them this is a bigger thing than it looks from the outside.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius will stay in one place all day and finish something they have been dragging out for months. No going out, no break mid-task for something more interesting. The last day of August is a strange place to discover that sitting still is not a punishment, but that is how it turned out.

Capricorn

Capricorn will turn down work they could take and that would pay off. They will say there is no room, which will be true. Around six o'clock they will return to it in their head and reach the same conclusion again.

Aquarius

Aquarius will follow somebody else's idea from start to finish without proposing their own version. They will notice that it works. Not every suggestion needs improving to be better - sometimes the improvement is just a way of staying in the conversation.

Pisces

Pisces will say no to something small - an invitation, a favour, ten minutes that would become an hour. They will say it briefly, without three sentences of explanation around it. The other side will not even blink, and that will be the most useful piece of information they get this week.
