Aries

Today Aries will open the banking app and count the subscriptions that quietly go out every month on their own. They'll find four, and only use one regularly. Don't cancel everything in a fit of rage - pick the one you actually watch, and switch off the other three one by one, checking that they're really cancelled.

Taurus

Today Taurus will say "yes" to an invitation to go chestnut-picking in the mountains on Saturday, before checking the forecast and before asking how steep the slopes are. They'll spend the rest of the day searching the wardrobe for suitable shoes. They'll find them in the box they least expected - and those will turn out to be the most comfortable.

Gemini

Today Gemini will listen to their mother on the phone for twenty minutes without opening a single other app while the call lasts. They'll find out who got married in the village, how much flour costs and why the neighbour doesn't say hello anymore. Before hanging up, their mother will ask if they're all right - because they didn't interrupt her for so long.

Cancer

Today Cancer should book the dentist appointment they've been putting off since spring. The tooth that hurts "only sometimes" won't settle down on its own, and winter isn't the season for an emergency on a Sunday evening. One call, five minutes, and the appointment will sit in the calendar instead of on their conscience.

Leo

Today Leo will hand the presentation they've been preparing all week to the new colleague, who hasn't said a word in a meeting so far. Leo will sit in the back row and nod at her whenever she gets flustered. The boss will praise her. Leo will know it was their best performance of the year.

Virgo

Today Virgo will set off to a new address without navigation, following a colleague's directions: "left at the petrol station, then straight to the end". There will be three petrol stations in town, and "to the end" will turn out to be open to many interpretations. They'll arrive fifteen minutes late - and for the first time, won't apologise for it more than once.

Today Libra will be the first to order at the restaurant, before the waiter has even put the menu on the table. The others will look at them as if they'd heard them speak a foreign language.

Scorpio

Today Scorpio will plant tulip bulbs in the pots on the balcony, carefully, one by one, fingers in the cold soil. Until April they'll see nothing but a brown surface. Who else would plant flowers knowing the result will come in six months?

Sagittarius

Today Sagittarius will open their CV from five years ago - not because they're job hunting, but because someone over coffee will ask what they actually do. They'll add three new lines and delete one that's no longer true. In the end they'll save it under a new name and close it, a little prouder than they expected.

Capricorn

Today Capricorn will laugh out loud on a packed bus at something they read on their phone. People will turn towards them. They won't make excuses or pretend to cough - they'll keep laughing all the way to their stop.

Aquarius

Today Aquarius will write their partner a three-sentence message, with no joke at the end and no smiley to soften it. They'll delete it twice and write it again, and the third time they'll send it just as it is. The reply will arrive within a minute. How much longer would they have kept to themselves something that could be said so simply?

Pisces

Today Pisces will gather the documents for renewing their car registration two weeks before the deadline - registration certificate, insurance policy, roadworthiness certificate, all in one folder. The clerk at the counter will leaf through them and find nothing missing. They'll look through them twice, as if searching for the catch.
