Naum Petreski, Suzana Gavazova, Mile Kuzmanovski and Blagoja Grujovski perform on 25 December at 8 pm at the first Macedonian Kafana Night, in the Jane Sandanski Sports Hall in Skopje. The promoter and host is Igor Džambazov, and the group Dream Team takes care of the live music. Over four hours of programme are announced.

Petreski is behind songs like "Žal za Despina", "Ima li pesna" and "Lazaropole". Džambazov, born in Skopje in 1963, is an actor, showman, presenter and singer, the son of composer Aleksandar Džambazov and the grandson of Petre Prličko.

The format is the point. Instead of rows of chairs there are high and low tables, drinks and meze, and the repertoire is Macedonian evergreens, folk songs and hits. Petreski says they aren't preparing an ordinary concert but a night in which audience and performers become one, and Gavazova believes a tradition is being born here that will last for years. Traditions usually aren't announced in advance, but a kafana in a sports hall is a bold enough idea to be worth a try. The special guests, according to the organisers, are still a secret.

Tickets are sold through wayin.mk, from 650 denars.
