"AGOTANGO - The Echo of the Tango Story" is a concert-stage art piece with two concert pianos and a tango performance, taking place at Salon 19:19 in Skopje on Thursday, June 18 at 20:00. The programme unites the Argentine tango repertoire with pianistic interpretation and dance expression on a single stage.

On piano are Prof. Ajhan Kurtov and Prof. Dunja Ivanova - both active on the Macedonian concert scene with long experience in duo arrangements. The tango dance is interpreted by maestra Vladanka Koleva and maestro Onur Mok from Centar 213 Skopje, which has been holding up the tangoist scene in Macedonia for years through festivals, milongas and workshops.

The programme covers the classics of Argentine tango - from Carlos Gardel and Astor Piazzolla to the pieces that form the canonical arc running from the salons of Buenos Aires to the concert halls of Europe. The performance combines two parallel languages: the pianistic, leaning on harmony and dynamics, and the choreographic, telling with the body what the text cannot. The venue has a limited capacity, which usually means a chamber atmosphere with an intimate distance between performers and audience.

Tickets cost 480 denars and are sold through karti.com.mk. The concert starts at 20:00 at Salon 19:19, and seating is limited - the kind of night where the room itself is part of the show.
