It is hard to describe what will happen at Sofia's Club Pave on November 10, and that is exactly the point. Evanora: Unlimited, the multimedia project of Orion Ohana from Oakland, California, arrives in Sofia with a night the organisers describe as an unexpected phone call from a dead relative's number. Doors at 21:00.
Evanora: Unlimited is not a performer's alias but an ever-shifting concept and cinematic world with multiple characters, which defines itself as "an epic work combining erotica, science fiction, religious horror and a plot based on true events". The project moves between music, literature, film, illustration and performance, and sonically between punk, electronica, synth-punk and electro-industrial. A key role goes to Orion's second persona, Marjorie V. C. Sinclair, an antihero born in isolation in 2020, originally as an inside joke and a secret alias for songs that would otherwise never have been released.
Before and after the show the floor belongs to the Sofia collective Yung & Turnt, DJs who advertise their own "worrying music selection and questionable intentions". This is not a concert for anyone looking for sing-along hits: the project calls itself a cinematic world, and the show is billed more as a performance than as a club gig.
Tickets come in waves: 18 euros early, 20 euros regular, 23 euros late and 25 euros at the door, or roughly 1,109 to 1,540 denars, through bilet.bg. The cheapest "launch" ticket at 15 euros has already sold out.
