Klach vo Sofija na 20 maj

Clutch, one of the toughest American rock bands of the last thirty years, makes their debut Bulgarian appearance on May 20, 2026. The show goes down in Hall 3 of the National Palace of Culture in Sofia, just before another big rock event in town - Iron Maiden at Vasil Levski Stadium on May 26.

The Maryland band, formed in 1991, has moved through pretty much every rock sub-genre over the years - from hardcore in the early days, through stoner rock and blues rock, to their current signature sound, best described as a hybrid of Black Sabbath, ZZ Top and authentic American Southern rock. With 13 studio albums - the latest being Sunrise on Slaughter Beach from 2022 - they have one of the most consistent catalogues in the genre. Tracks like Electric Worry, X-Ray Visions and Pure Rock Fury have become anthems of contemporary American heavy music.

Clutch's shows are known for being close-up, tight and free of over-production. Frontman Neil Fallon stands out for his rhapsodic delivery and long improvised intros, while the rhythm section of Dan Maines and Jean-Paul Gaster keeps things tightly locked. Hall 3 with capacity for around 700 offers the kind of intimate atmosphere their style demands.

Tickets are available via ticketstation.bg from 66 leva. The show is part of the European EU 2026 tour. Sofia is easy to reach by bus or car from Skopje for those thinking about making the trip for the event.
