The career of the singer from Split has two points that put her among the biggest voices on the Croatian scene, and both are tied to Eurovision. In 1986 she performed for Yugoslavia with "Željo moja" and finished eleventh. Thirteen years later, in Jerusalem in 1999, she performed for Croatia with "Marija Magdalena" and took fourth place with 118 points.

"Marija Magdalena" remained her best-known song. Tonči Huljić composed it, Vjekoslava Huljić wrote the lyrics and Remi Kazinoti did the arrangement. In Croatia it became a hit on a generational scale and was the lead single from her twelfth studio album, "Krajem vijeka". The Jerusalem performance left a mark of another kind as well - Croatia was stripped of part of its points over electronically processed vocals in the backing track, which the contest rules do not allow.

The Arsenal is a former Venetian warehouse complex on the Zadar waterfront, converted into a cultural space, and one of the halls where this kind of concert sounds best. October in Zadar is no longer tourist season, which means the audience will be mostly local - and with Dragović that usually makes for a better night than one in front of a mixed summer crowd.
