Every time some famous woman appears looking better before a wedding, someone immediately starts whispering about surgery or a miracle diet. When the Spanish TV presenter Susana Griso showed what she has for breakfast before her wedding, the answer was far more boring - and precisely for that reason far more accurate.
The breakfast was simple: yogurt with homemade granola and a little nuts. No powders, no „detox”, nothing that can be packaged and sold. For years Griso has spoken openly about how a healthy diet, regular movement and enough sleep are what help her endure her daily live programme. It is no secret - it is a routine.
Nutritionist Ana Gloria Cantos Aguilar broke down her ingredients. Nuts, she says, are one „of those foods that science has defended for years” - they give healthy fats, plant fibre, protein, vitamin E and magnesium, and on top of that they fill you up. There is no dispute there.
With granola the matter is trickier. The nutritionist warns that the quality differs dramatically from product to product, and advises always reading the label. Many ready-made granolas, she says, are in fact a dessert disguised as healthy food with good marketing. Homemade is a safer choice - at least you know what is inside.
The most important sentence in the whole story is not about the ingredients, but about the way of thinking. „If that breakfast fills you up and is part of a balanced diet, there is not much more to say”, the nutritionist says. And she warns not to reduce health to an aesthetic for „Instagram” - fullness is a better indicator than the „healthy” label. In other words: stop looking for magic where all you need is common sense.
