Skopje band Dopamin is hosting its first karaoke night with a live band on October 16 at Public Room on 50 Divizija Street. The format is simple: the musicians play, and the singer on stage can be anyone from the crowd.
Dopamin belong to Skopje's young scene, the one that lives off club gigs and city events. On October 3 the band played the main stage on Mother Teresa Square, in front of the Macedonian Opera and Ballet, as part of White Night 2026. They say this night is finally their answer to the question they hear most after every show: "So when are you doing karaoke?"
The night comes in two halves. In the first, the band warms up with its own set and some of the best-known Macedonian choruses. In the second, Dopamin keep playing, but with a new frontman for every song - whoever dares to step up to the mic. The difference from classic backing-track karaoke is obvious: miss a note and there is a whole band behind you that can bail you out. Or at least pretend it heard nothing.
Doors open at 21:00 and the show starts at 22:00. Tickets cost 200 denars on tix.mk, and buying four or more gets you a reserved bar table. Public Room is card-only, so leave the cash at home.
