Mahmut Orhan is coming to Ohrid for a concert at Stadion Biljanini Izvori on Saturday, July 25 at 20:00. The Turkish DJ and producer is one of the most recognisable figures at the crossroads of deep house and Middle Eastern ethno-electronica - a style that has brought him a global audience and billions of views on YouTube.

Born in 1993 in Bursa, Orhan started making music at 15 and moved to Istanbul, where he began playing the club "Bebek" in 2011. His global breakthrough came in 2016 with "Feel," together with Sena Şener - a track that broke into the charts in Greece, Germany, Poland and Romania and racked up over 300 million views. Two years later, in 2018, the "6 Days" remix of Colonel Bagshot's 1971 "Six Day War" was number one in Greece, Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria.

Orhan's sound is built on deep house but with a layer of Mediterranean and Anatolian instruments - duduks, qanuns, strings and processed vocals. The Biljanini Izvori set is expected to follow that line, with long gradations and emotional melodies that have made him a staple of festivals from Tulum to Medellín. The stadium's capacity is large - with a fan pit zone directly in front of the stage and tribunes - making this one of the biggest electronic shows of the Macedonian summer, and the kind of cross-cultural set the Balkans actually get right.

Tickets range from 1,200 denars (general standing) to 6,000 (stage cards), with tribune seats at 1,500 and fan pit at 1,800 denars. Tickets are sold via kupikarta.com. The concert starts at 20:00 at the open-air Stadion Biljanini Izvori.
