The renovation of the "Pance Peshev" primary music school in Kumanovo is in its final phase, Mayor Maksim Dimitrievski announced.

The roof structure has been repaired, and the building is getting a new energy-efficient facade. The windows are to be replaced with PVC ones and a new front door installed. Inside, the walls are being repainted, and a new hydrant system has been fitted.

The municipality says this creates better, safer and more efficient conditions for students and teachers. For a school where children learn music, a warm, dry building isn't a luxury. It's the bare minimum for doing the job.

What the announcement leaves out, though, is how much the renovation costs, who is doing the work, and when exactly it will be finished. Those are three things the people of Kumanovo have every right to know, especially when it's public money and a building where their own kids go to school.
