At the latest hearing in the "Pulse" case - the nightclub in Kočani where 63 people died - a student from Štip testified that "the pyrotechnics were placed dangerously close to the guests." The devices were set up after 1 AM, while guests were already inside.

About one minute passed between the placement of the pyrotechnics and the outbreak of the fire. The witness had a recording from the first moments of the blaze.

Another survivor described being trapped between the entrance and exit doors before security pulled him out.

The trial drags on

Only one witness appeared at the last hearing. Most did not show up, frustrating the families of victims who are concerned about the slow pace of the proceedings. The main defendant, club owner Dejan Jovanović known as "Gazda Deko," requested house arrest on health grounds. The prosecution will respond in writing.

35 defendants, 63 dead, and the trial looks like a marathon with no finish line. The families are waiting for justice - and the only question is whether they will ever get it.
