Robbie Williams is the first name announced for the second edition of the PhillGood festival in Plovdiv. The British pop star will headline the opening night on 16 July 2027 at the Rowing Canal, where the festival returns after a successful debut. The full run goes from 16 to 18 July 2027.

Williams is no stranger to Bulgarian audiences. In 2025 he played the Vasil Levski stadium in Sofia in front of more than forty thousand people, and the whole stadium sang "Angels" back at him for the finale. Before that came an entire career - first as a member of Take That, then as a solo act who sold tens of millions of albums and swept the biggest British music awards. His concerts have always been more show than gig: he is one of those artists who talks to the crowd all evening, not just between songs.

The Rowing Canal in Plovdiv has grown into one of the bigger festival sites in the region. July there already carries several large festivals, and PhillGood is run by Fest Team - the same crew behind Hills of Rock and AURA. The 2026 debut pulled in The Cure, Gorillaz and Moby, which sets the bar for 2027 high.

Tickets start at 99 euros for a day pass and 199 euros for all three days, through the festteam.bg network. Robbie Williams is only the first name - the organisers say the lineup will keep filling up over the coming months. For readers in Macedonia, Plovdiv is a little over three hours by car, which makes the festival a realistic weekend trip rather than a plan on paper.
