A worker died at a construction site in Kisela Voda. The investor behind the building is Ivica Konevski, former mayor of Aerodrom municipality. The company "Nar Investment" LLC Skopje, with Konevski as owner, was registered in November 2025 on "Petar Pop Arsov" street in the city center.

Konevski told the media he "cannot speak because he is very distressed," but clarified that the contractor is the company "Jakimovski" DOEL. He expects the investigation to determine the cause but claims all necessary permits were obtained. Predrag Jakimovski is the owner of the contracting firm.

Three injured workers were extracted from the site and admitted to the Emergency Center. One has broken legs, two sustained minor injuries. What exactly happened at that foundation excavation is still under investigation.

A former mayor builds, a worker dies, and the permits are supposedly in order. How many times do we hear the same story? The permit is on paper, the worker is underground, and accountability is nowhere.
