VMRO-DPMNE: 3,000 Unresolved Citizen Complaints Are Waiting in Centar Municipality - a Number Gerasimovski Needs to Confirm

Centar Municipality has around 3,000 unresolved complaints from citizens, and the building inspectorate "doesn't even exist at the moment." That's the claim from Suzan Hasan, a member of VMRO-DPMNE's municipal committee in Centar, who held a press conference in Debar Maalo, in front of a building on "Orce Nikolov" Street.

According to her, residents of that street report that part of the building sits on state land, but instead of an answer they get uncertainty. Hasan asked the municipality to check the allegations, establish the actual and legal status of the land, and publicly inform citizens what it has done about it.

The figure of 3,000 complaints is a strong one - but for now it's only a party figure. "These data require official confirmation from the Municipality," Hasan herself said. So the opposition in Centar launches the number and leaves the checking to the very side it is attacking. In the reports on the press conference, there is no reaction from the municipality.

Hasan reminded Mayor Goran Gerasimovski of his 2025 campaign and its "door-to-door" meetings. "Citizens aren't asking for the impossible. They're asking for a functioning municipality, lawful conduct and answers to the complaints they file," she said.

That demand holds no matter which party voices it. If thousands of complaints really are sitting in a drawer in Centar, citizens have a right to know the exact number. If they aren't, the municipality can easily publish the real one. Silence is the only answer that explains nothing. How long will the residents of "Orce Nikolov" Street have to wait to find out whose land that building stands on?
