From October 7 to 10, Belgrade again becomes the centre of the European electronic scene with Changeover Festival, one of the biggest techno and house events in the region. The festival's fifth edition spreads across more than ten venues in the city, turning the Serbian capital into a four-day network of clubs and stages.
In recent years Changeover has established itself as a festival that erases the line between the classic festival stage and club culture - instead of one big location, the crowd moves through different spaces in the city, each with its own sound and atmosphere. The October edition is the main, flagship event, arriving after the spring pop-up editions in other cities and after an international tour through six countries from Bulgaria to Germany.
This year the programme features over eighty acts from the local and regional scene, with the final lineup released in stages. The festival's format - a musical exploration of the city through the night - is part of its appeal, since visitors don't stay in one place but experience Belgrade as a living electronic map. For many, it is precisely that movement through the clubs that makes Changeover different from the standard festivals.
Tickets sell through tickets.rs and other official platforms. For techno and house lovers from Macedonia, who often visit Belgrade for the weekend, Changeover is one of the strongest autumn destinations in the region - four days of electronic music spread across the whole city.
