Delchevo Deploys Drones to Guard Its Forests: Why Isn't This a National Strategy?

The municipality of Delchevo is introducing drones for forest fire surveillance - a "radical innovation in the nature protection system," as they describe it. Regular drone patrols will enable early detection of potential forest fires, shifting from a reactive to a preventive approach.

The logic is sound: instead of waiting for a forest to burn and then reacting, drones monitor continuously and respond at the first sign of smoke. For a municipality with rich forest resources like Delchevo, this could make a real difference.

If it works, the question remains: why does Delchevo have to innovate on its own, rather than this being a national strategy? Forest fires don't respect municipal boundaries.
