Croatian trap and hip-hop favourite Grše performs at Diamond Club on the island of Krk on July 24, in one of the most watched summer residencies on the Adriatic. The concert takes place in Malinska, at the club that has pulled most of the regional music circuit into one spot this season.
Over recent years Grše has grown into one of the strongest names on Croatia's new trap scene. His hits long ago spilled past the clubs into mainstream culture, and his concerts fill up with a young crowd that knows the lyrics by heart. His style leans on a recognisable Dalmatian dialect and an urban sound, a mix that sets him apart from the rest of the region's rappers.
Diamond Club has established itself this season as the summer epicentre of regional music - with a stage nine metres high and twenty-five metres wide, the biggest on the entire Adriatic coast. The same stage sees Bijelo Dugme, Jelena Rozga, Željko Joksimović, Lepa Brena and Senida this year, so Grše's appearance slots into a lineup of the Balkans' biggest names.
The show starts at 10 p.m., with tickets on sale through entrio.hr for up to around 30 euros. For visitors from Macedonia holidaying on the northern Adriatic, this is a chance to catch one of Croatian hip-hop's hottest names in a club atmosphere right beside the sea.
