Haris Džinović is closing out the year at Sava Centar. On December 24, in the Blue Hall starting at 8 p.m., the Sarajevo-Belgrade stage legend plays the same stage where, more than three decades ago, he held his first big solo concert.
Džinović was born in Sarajevo in 1951 and is one of the names that defined narodna and sevdah music in the former Yugoslavia. He started out in the seventies, and in 1981 he founded the group Sar e Roma with the Pavlović brothers, touring the world with them. The real breakthrough came with a solo album that made him a megastar overnight, with hits like „I tebe sam sit kafano", „Kako mi nedostaješ", and „Laže mjesec". He played his first big concert at Sava Centar on June 13, 1991 - and the hall has been tied to his name ever since.
The December 24 show is a year-end format in a classic setting - the Blue Hall of Sava Centar, a place where Džinović has a long history. For an audience that knows his tavern ballads by heart, it's an invitation to an evening of songs that don't age.
Tickets start at 2,900 dinars through tickets.rs. The concert starts at 8 p.m. in the Blue Hall of Sava Centar in Belgrade.
