Aries will ask today for money they are owed, directly, with no preamble about the weather and health. The person will pay within two hours. The sum sat uncollected for three months only because nobody said it out loud.

Taurus

Taurus will get up at five in the morning today without an alarm and go out walking nowhere in particular. They will be back before seven with a decision about something else entirely. The body sometimes settles things the head has been turning over all week.

Gemini

Gemini will be asked today to cover for somebody at work at the last minute, and will say yes. They will be good at it. It is awkward to discover that the job you have been avoiding for years suits you better than your own.

Cancer

Cancer will tell somebody at home today that something bothers them, concretely, with an example, instead of waiting to be noticed. The conversation will last ten minutes and end calmly. What you were guarding as a big subject turns out small the moment you say it.

Leo

Leo will pay for something for another person today and ask that it not be mentioned. With them that is not modesty but a calculation that the deed lasts longer without an audience. They will hold out until evening without mentioning it once.

Virgo

Virgo will answer a message today after three days of silence, and will start without apologising for the delay. The other side will not ask why it took so long. Half the explanations you prepare are waited for by nobody.

Libra

Libra will get slightly ill today - throat, head, nothing serious - and will cancel the thing they did not want to do anyway. They will feel better around four in the afternoon. The body rarely protests without a reason, it just does not say the reason out loud.

Scorpio

Scorpio will start a conversation that frightens them today, first, without waiting for a prompt. They will do it in the morning while they still lack the strength to think twice. By noon it will be done, and the afternoon will look different from how a Friday usually looks for them.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius will take the car today and set off somewhere without checking the forecast, the booking or how much fuel there is. One of the three will be a problem. None of them will ruin the day, which is bigger news than the trip itself.

Capricorn

Capricorn will ask for help today with something they know how to finish alone. They will be uncomfortable for about a minute and a half. The person they ask will be more grateful to have been asked than Capricorn will ever understand.

Aquarius

Aquarius will buy something practical and boring today - a filter, a cable, something for the house - and will fit it the same day. No idea will come out of it. That is the point.

Pisces

Pisces will catch themselves today defending somebody else's actions at a table where everyone is criticising them, even though they are not close to the person. They will keep going to the end. Somebody at that table will remember it longer than the subject being argued about.
