Aries

Today Gemini will listen to their grandfather tell the army story for the third time - and won't say "I know this one". This time they will ask something nobody has asked before. Grandpa will pause, look towards the window and tell a part nobody in the family knows.

Cancer

Today Cancer will answer the ad for a flat in another part of town they have been eyeing since August, and book a viewing for that very afternoon. The kitchen will be smaller than theirs, and the balcony bigger than any they have ever had. Cancer will say "I'll take it" before the agent reaches the bedroom.

Leo

Today, at a friend's birthday party, Leo will not take centre stage. They will spend the whole evening talking to one person in the corner - the one who doesn't know anybody. Nobody will notice Leo was quiet. Except that person, who tomorrow will text them to say it was their best evening this autumn.

Virgo

Today Virgo will not iron the shirt. They will wear it just as it came out of the machine. Nobody will notice.

Libra

Today in a restaurant Libra will order first, without finishing the menu and without asking "so what are you having?". The waiter will write it down before they finish the sentence. Their friends will stare as if they had seen a ghost. The food will be excellent - and even if it weren't, the decision was theirs.

Scorpio

Today, after seven years together, Scorpio will confess to their partner that they are afraid of the dark. The partner won't laugh and won't ask why they kept the secret so long. That evening, without a word, they will leave the hallway light on.

Sagittarius

Today Sagittarius should not immediately accept the project the boss offers them "because nobody else has the time". They should ask what drops off their current list if they say yes. If the answer is "nothing", they already know what to say.

Capricorn

Today Capricorn will move the sofa to the other wall - no measuring, no plan, just because they are sick of staring at the corner with the TV. It will take half an hour and one scratched floor. The room will look twice as big. Why did they wait three years for half an hour's work?

They will call, wait on hold for twenty minutes and be promised that the amount will be credited on the next bill. For the rest of the day they will behave as if they had won the lottery.
