From a jazz jubilee to Chopin

The week opens on Wednesday, October 28, when the National Jazz Orchestra plays for Saško Nikolovski's 40 years on stage - the trombonist who has sat in the orchestra of the National Opera and Ballet since 1986 and once played in Toše Proeski's band. The night is at the National Opera and Ballet, the house he has worked in for four decades, only this time not from the orchestra pit.

On Friday, October 30, the Opera stages "Nabucco", the opera that made Verdi famous, with Marjan Jovanoski in the title role. On Saturday, October 31, John Ilija Apelgren marks forty years on stage with the concert "40 Years of Music" at the Macedonian National Theatre. Simon Trpčeski closes the week on Monday, November 2, with his "Chamber Music Dessert" programme at the Macedonian Philharmonic.

What a night out costs

The cheapest seat is at "Nabucco" - from 800 denars, the same as the cheapest ticket for Apelgren, where prices go up to 1,200 denars.
