Mira Škorić has scheduled a major jubilee concert marking 40 years of career at Sava Centar in Belgrade on Thursday, November 19 at 20:00 - on the Plava Dvorana stage. The Serbian pop-folk star is one of the most recognisable voices of the 1990s and one of the region's longest-running artists.
Born in 1970 in Belgrade, Škorić made her debut in 1988 with the album "Niko kao mi." Her global breakthrough across former Yugoslavia came in 1993 with "Otkači" and "Manastir" from the album "Ti si k'o i ja" - songs that generations later still spin on the radio. "Ista nam je tuga" and her collaborations with Ceca, Lepa Brena, Vesna Zmijanac, Aca Lukas, Željko Bebek and Ana Bekuta kept her at the very top of the pop-folk scene across four decades.
In October 2019 she marked her thirty-year jubilee with a concert at Sava Centar, and that same year she received the lifetime achievement award from the Union of Music Artists of Serbia. Now, six years later, she returns to the same stage for an even bigger jubilee - 40 years on stage. The concert is expected to be a retrospective with hits from every album and thematic blocks organised by year - the kind of show that doubles as a regional pop-folk timeline.
Tickets are sold through tickets.rs. The concert starts at 20:00 at Sava Centar - Plava Dvorana.
