The "Pance Peshev" primary music school in Kumanovo is in the final phase of its renovation. Mayor Maksim Dimitrievski announced it, complete with a list of everything that has been done.

The roof has been repaired and the building is getting a new energy-efficient facade. The windows are due to be replaced with PVC ones, along with a new front door. Inside, the walls are being repainted, and a new fire hydrant system has been installed.

The municipality says pupils and teachers will now have better, safer and more efficient conditions. That's true, and for a music school it's no small thing - kids learning instruments deserve a decent building.

What's missing from the announcement is what's always missing: how much the renovation costs and exactly when it will be finished. If this is public money, why isn't the number part of the victory lap?
