If you live in parts of Butel or Sopište today, it is good to know this in advance: there will be no power until nine hours pass. Planned works on the grid, but for those waiting at home - the same darkness.

Due to planned technical works on the electricity distribution grid, some users in Skopje will be left without electricity today, the Regional Crisis Management Centre - Skopje reports. According to EVN Macedonia, the outage is planned for the period from 05:30 to 14:30 - almost nine hours.

Left without power will be the users on „Đore Đorevski” Street in Butel and „Andi Vemir” Street in Agino Selo. Between 09:00 and 13:00, users from Gorno Sonje, more precisely in the locality called Koštan, will also have an outage.

Planned shut-offs are part of routine maintenance and should surprise no one - provided they are announced on time and clearly. For households, a nine-hour outage in the middle of summer is no small thing: it means spoiled food in the fridge, no air conditioning in the hottest hours and work-from-home that grinds to a halt. That is why the notice matters as much as the work itself - so that a person can at least prepare.
