Hip-hop festival Preach The RIČ returns to Martinska near Šibenik for its fourth edition, on August 7 and 8. The two days in Martinska's seaside setting gather some of the strongest names on the Croatian and regional rap scene, in a growing festival that has quickly become part of Dalmatia's summer calendar.
This year's lineup counts nineteen acts, led by Smoke Mardeljano, Mriggs'n'Ghetto and Krešo Bengalka - names that rank among the pillars of contemporary Croatian hip-hop. Also on the bill are Hram, Idu Hobiti, Lipi Ive, Majstor Alan, Vano and a string of other performers and DJs, which makes the festival a survey of the region's current rap and urban scene.
Preach The RIČ stands out for its location - Martinska is one of the most sought-after summer concert spots near Šibenik, where the stage sits right beside the sea. That setting, combined with its focus on hip-hop and urban culture, creates an atmosphere rarely found at Dalmatian festivals, which most often lean towards pop or electronica.
Tickets sell through entrio.hr for up to around 55 euros for both days. For hip-hop lovers from Macedonia and the region holidaying on the Dalmatian coast, Preach The RIČ is a chance to see the biggest names of the Croatian rap scene live in one place.
