A Punk-Chic Wedding in Javea: A Model in Two Dresses and a Safari Instead of the Usual Honeymoon

There are weddings that follow the rules, and weddings that write their own. Model Marta Ortiz and entrepreneur Carlos Suria married in Javea, right where they got engaged exactly a year earlier - and instead of a classic fairy tale, they made something they themselves call "punk-chic."

The concept blends high fashion with nostalgia and fun inspired by the summers of their youth. Ortiz wore two custom creations - for the ceremony, a Hervé Moreau Couture gown with a fluidly draped back, a silhouette drawn in light and a floating train, and for the celebration, a design by Andrés Acosta. Her philosophy was clear: she wanted clothing that's personal, not a costume - "minimalist, timeless, but always with a touch of seductiveness."

The decor followed the same logic. A silver palette with an abundance of flowers - green hydrangeas and violet blooms - a giant illuminated sphere like a full moon behind the couple, metallic mirror balls, and orange sculptures. Long imperial tables with white linens, refined glassware, and exotic flowers. They even turned the parking lot from their teenage summers into a "cool" party zone with a seventies aesthetic.

In the end, weddings like this show that luxury no longer means strict adherence to protocol, but the freedom to make something that's yours. The couple went on honeymoon to Botswana and Mozambique - a safari instead of the usual destination, just as the whole wedding was deliberately different. Sometimes the most striking is the one who doesn't try to copy someone else's day.
