Aries

Aries will today be in a situation where somebody praises them in front of others for work finished six months ago. Standing still will be harder for them than doing the work. A Saturday afternoon is a good place to learn that receiving praise requires neither a reply nor a change of subject - it is enough to hold out until the person finishes the sentence.

Taurus

Taurus will today throw out something that has been sitting in the house for years and has never once been needed. They will do it without a second thought, which for them is not a frequent event. By evening they will not remember what it was.

Gemini

Gemini will today interrupt their own talking to check whether the other person is actually following, and will get an answer they did not expect. Half of what they were saying arrived differently from how it set out. That does not mean you were unclear - it means the person in front of you was also thinking while you spoke.

Cancer

Cancer will today be asked to join something at the last minute and will answer immediately, without turning it over in their head until the afternoon. Five seconds instead of two hours. They will notice the difference only after hanging up.

Leo

Leo will today sit with someone going through something hard and will not tell a single similar story of their own. No "that happened to me too", no comparison. A listener who does not move the subject onto themselves is rarer than any advice that can be given on that same Saturday.

Virgo

Virgo will today devote themselves to something that cannot be measured - a long walk, a conversation with no aim, an afternoon without a single list. Around two o'clock the head will ask to calculate whether that was time well spent. Do not answer it. The accounting you demand for every free hour is exactly what leaves you without a single one.

Libra

Libra will today make a decision alone and will not check it with anyone before saying it out loud. No message, no "what do you think". It will feel tight for about twenty minutes, then it will stop - and nobody watching will even notice anything was different.

Scorpio

Scorpio will today be in a situation where somebody gives them a complicated excuse for a trivial thing, and they will accept it without checking. They know it is not true. It simply will not be worth as much as unpacking it costs, and that is new arithmetic for them - until now that sum has always come out the other way.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius will today go somewhere they have already been ten times and will feel better there than in any new place this year. Not a single shot worth telling anyone about. An August Saturday in a familiar tavern does not need to be a story in order to give you the day back.

Capricorn

Capricorn will today ask for help with something small - lifting, carrying, checking. For them that goes down harder than the job itself. The person you ask will do it in four minutes and forget it ever happened, while you will carry that request around until noon.

Aquarius

Aquarius will today return to something that interested them as a child and that they set aside long ago. Not for gain, not for a project. It will last an hour and it will be the calmest hour of the Saturday.

Pisces

Pisces will today be asked directly about money - what it costs, how much they want, how much is owed to them - and will say a number without softening anything around it. The other side will take it calmly. A sum said clearly lands better than the same sum wrapped in three sentences of apology, and the morning spent preparing those sentences is what is really lost.
