Marco Mendoza, the bassist whose CV reads like a rock festival poster, plays Sofia's Rock'n'Rolla club on 2 November. Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, The Dead Daisies, Blue Murder and Ted Nugent are just some of the bands he has played in. The show starts at 8 p.m., with the band Elit as special guests.

Mendoza was a full member of Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy and The Dead Daisies, and in 2012 he was among the founders of Black Star Riders, the band that grew out of Thin Lizzy. He spent spring 2026 touring the US in the band of guitar virtuosos Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. Besides the bass, he is also known for his voice and stage presence.

He comes to Sofia with his solo set, where rock mixes with blues, funk and soul. He recorded the albums "Viva La Rock" and "New Direction" in Copenhagen with Danish guitarist and producer Søren Andersen. On "Viva La Rock" he also revisits his own past: there's Thin Lizzy's "Chinatown", featuring Guns N' Roses' Richard Fortus and Mike Tramp, as well as Ted Nugent's "Hey Baby".

Standard entry costs 30 euros, about 1,848 denars, and VIP and Golden Circle tickets are 40 euros each, about 2,464 denars. They're on sale at bilet.bg and eventim.bg. Rock'n'Rolla is a club, not an arena, so this is a chance to see a musician like this from a few metres away.
