Bulgarian band Taraleshta presents its fourth album, the live recording "Taraleshta na morfin" ("Taraleshta on Morphine"), on 30 October at Sofia's Stroezha club. The concert is deliberately early: doors open at 7 p.m. and the music starts at 8, so the youngest fans can come too.

Behind the band is Mitko Taralezhkov, who says Taraleshta was conceived seven years ago in a legendary Plovdiv pub. The band quickly became a byword for dancing yourself senseless to Afro and Balkan rhythms, and in 2025 it shared a stage with Manu Chao and S.A.R.S. The band also has a joint project with Skopje's Foltin: in April 2023 the two bands played together in Sofia and Plovdiv.

"Taraleshta na morfin" is the band's more melancholic side. Taralezhkov decided that the sound of the American band Morphine could work in Bulgarian too, so the songs got completely new lyrics about the night, the kafanas and a little madness, with a saxophone breathing heavily and a rhythm moving as slowly as the last drink after midnight. On stage will be Mitko, Ilko, Dani, Aleksandar, Neven and Asen, and the organisers promise new music, guests and new merch.

The 15-euro early-bird tickets have sold out. Until 29 October a ticket costs 20 euros, about 1,232 denars, and on the day of the concert 25 euros, about 1,540 denars, via bilet.bg. Children under 12 get in free if accompanied by an adult with a ticket.
