Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova has announced a pregnancy at 44 - her sixth child, and her third with French businessman Antoine Arnault, heir to the LVMH luxury empire. The news came through the cover of Vogue France, in a blue mini-dress - with no advance announcement, no posts on social media. Classic Arnault family style.

Vodianova became a mother for the first time at 19, with her son Lucas, from her marriage to British aristocrat Justin Portman. With him she also had daughter Neva (2006) and son Viktor (2007). After their 2011 divorce, she appeared with Antoine Arnault, with whom she had two sons: Maxim (2014) and Roman (2016). The wedding took place in Paris in September 2020.

She last appeared in public on 10 March at the Louis Vuitton show in Paris, with no signs of the pregnancy - which means the announcement was carefully and deliberately delayed. Not unusual for a family running Europe's largest fashion conglomerate, where every piece of news is tested in advance for market impact.

What is more telling than the pregnancy itself: at 44 and with a sixth child, Vodianova enters a category that is rare even for the business class. The Arnault family is clearly building a dynasty in the classic European mould - more heirs, more division of responsibilities, less drama over who will take over LVMH. Her father-in-law Bernard Arnault already has five children in business roles inside the group. Now his grandchildren are arriving too.
