Nina Badrić, one of the longest-running Croatian pop stars with a career of more than three decades, will perform at the Ancient Theatre in Ohrid on August 29. The show comes three weeks after her concert at Sava Centar in Belgrade in May, and pulls in new material from the album Moji ljudi released in 2026, alongside the classics that built her reputation through the 90s and 2000s.
Born in Zagreb in 1972, Badrić started singing at nine in the children's choir Zvjezdice, where she stayed for seven years before moving on to backing vocals for major Croatian acts Parni Valjak and Prljavo Kazalište. Her breakthrough came in a duet with Emilija Kokić on Ja sam vlak. She competed at Dora, Croatia's Eurovision selection, four times - peaking at second place in 2003 with Čarobno jutro. At Eurovision 2012 in Baku she represented Croatia with Nebo.
Her 1997 album Personality brought her two Porin awards - for best female vocal performance and best pop album. Her career stayed at the top through two decades with a steady run of albums, while her cover of the Pointer Sisters' I'm So Excited brought her some international recognition, particularly in Italy. The new album Moji ljudi includes fresh tracks and singles like Alive and the duet Nemoj with Petar Grašo.
The Ancient Theatre concert starts at 20:00. The theatre was built during the Hellenistic period - the only one of its kind in Macedonia - with the natural acoustics that make it the obvious home for intimate pop performances like this one. Tickets range from the cheapest seats to VIP positions and are sold via kupikarta.com.
