Luzeri and Ignor play the Kaštel fortress in Pula on 16 August, starting at 21:00. Two generations and two sounds on one stage - pop-punk from the early 2000s and trap-rock from today. A combination that looks like a collision on paper and works in practice.
Luzeri are a Croatian trio who deliberately fuse early-2000s nostalgia with modern production and influences from the regional trap scene. The lineup is Goca Rip, real name Ivan Godina, of KUKU$; Dipsi, that is Dorian Brezak, of Buntai; and Nikola Batelić, one of the leading producers in the trap genre. The telling detail: both singers come from trap acts, and pop-punk was a side project that grew into the main job. After the debut record "Ixevi i Nule" came the albums "Ljubav je za Luzere" and "Depresija".
Ignor are a Zagreb pop-punk band, and the two acts have already shared a lineup at the Kvart festival, alongside Vojko V and Butch Cassidy. Luzeri have a heavier credit too - they warmed up the crowd before The Offspring's big open-air concert in Zagreb.
The Kaštel fortress is a Venetian fort above the town, which puts the evening in a completely different frame from an ordinary club. Tickets via entrio.hr run from around 115 to 1,650 denars. For readers whose August route runs towards Istria, this is one of the more interesting nights on the calendar.
