Aries will catch themselves today explaining why something was not their fault, when nobody accused them. They will notice it mid-sentence and stop. A defence prepared in advance for an attack that never came is the most expensive thing the head produces on a Sunday morning.

Taurus

Taurus will start cooking something today they have never made before, and it will come out better than expected. No recipe followed to the end, no weighing of grams. By two o'clock the kitchen will be chaos and it will not annoy them once.

Gemini

Gemini will be asked something today they have no answer to, and they will say they do not know, without a single detour. It will take two seconds. What they used to solve with three possible versions will today be closed faster than it took to think up those three.

Cancer

Cancer will call someone today they have long been putting off - not because of a holiday, not because of an occasion, but because it will simply cross their mind at some point. The conversation will be short and weightless. They will hang up feeling they finished something, though they started nothing.

Leo

Leo will be in company today where everyone knows something they have not been following - a show, an incident, the topic of the week. They will ask what it is instead of nodding along. A question asked in front of four people costs ten seconds; pretending to keep up lasts all evening and convinces nobody.

Virgo

Virgo will buy something expensive today without comparing prices in three places. They will do it quickly, almost out of spite towards themselves. By evening they will check once whether it could have been cheaper, will find that it could have been by a little, and it will not ruin their day the way it used to.

Libra

Libra will stay home today even though it is Sunday and even though there are three invitations. They will invent no reason for anyone; they will write that they cannot make it and put the phone aside. Nobody will ask again - which is the information they have been missing for years.

Scorpio

Scorpio will hear something about themselves today that they do not like, and they will consider it instead of dismissing it. It will take about an hour. The remark you do not like and cannot refute with a fact is usually the only one worth keeping.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius will turn down the last August of something crowded today and go somewhere nearby alone. Half a day, no announcement, no photograph. They will come back in the afternoon with a different head than the one that left in the morning, and will not be able to explain to anyone exactly what changed it.

Capricorn

Capricorn will ask something personal today - how the person actually is, not how work is going. They will get a longer answer than they were ready to listen to, and they will listen to the end. For them this counts as a full day's work, and rightly so.

Aquarius

Aquarius will agree today with something they do not fully agree with, because the difference is not worth the conversation. They will recognise that this would have been impossible before. Not every inaccuracy demands a correction; some are small enough to pass you by without taking anything.

Pisces

Pisces will finish something all the way today - not leave it at ninety percent as usual, but completely, with the last boring step included. It will take half an hour longer than they wanted. But work closed properly does not come back into your head on a Tuesday night, and those returns are what eat the biggest part of your week.
