An Air Serbia plane landed in Belgrade carrying 67 passengers evacuated from Israel. The aircraft had previously departed from the Egyptian tourist resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, where people evacuated from conflict zones in Israel were transferred.

The plane carried citizens of several countries - alongside Serbs, the evacuees included Macedonian citizens, as well as nationals of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia, and Montenegro. The evacuation took place in two phases: people were first transported from Israel to Egypt, then flown to Belgrade.

Serbia's Deputy Foreign Minister Damjan Jovic stated that the operation - "beyond the humanitarian issue" - sends a message about Serbia's desire to build good relations with neighboring countries.

The Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that a total of 473 Macedonian citizens have requested evacuation since the start of the Middle East conflict. The authorities are monitoring the movements of their citizens and are prepared to organize additional evacuations if the situation requires.
