1000mods play Gala Hala in Ljubljana on October 6, with Australia's Grim Rhythm supporting. The Greek stoner rock band arrives as part of the European "Give Me My Medicine" tour, and they are one of the names keeping that scene alive outside the American and Scandinavian circuit.

The band formed in 2006 in Chiliomodi, a village in Greece whose name literally means a thousand knots, which became the direct inspiration for the band's name. This is psychedelic and stoner rock played without modern polish, a heavy sound that recalls the seventies more than anything from the past decade.

Their fifth studio album "Cheat Death" came out in November 2024 and has been described as the heaviest and most fully realised production of their career. The tour is built around that record and runs through Germany, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czechia, Ireland and the United Kingdom over the autumn of 2026. Ljubljana is one of the smaller dates on that list, which for the audience means a closeness Paris or Dublin will not offer.

Tickets cost 20 euros through mojekarte.hr, with doors at 19:00. Gala Hala is part of the Metelkova autonomous centre, a space that has for years hosted exactly this kind of band, the ones too big for a club and too small for an arena.
